GENERAL DESCRIPTION

HL7002 is a voice recording IC fabricated by CMOS technology. Voice being amplified by a two-stage band-pass filter is processed by an adapted data modulation circuit, and then stored in a DRAM. After silence detection, the voice is reproduced according to the control functions. This IC has four main functions integrated in a single chip: (a) Echo Song mode, (b) Magic Voice Changer mode, (c) Talking Back mode and, (d) Robot Sound Effect mode. For Echo Song mode, the chip can play the melody with the timber of recorded sound. For Voice Changer mode, the voice is distorted and echoed back according to a programmed rhythm. For Talking Back mode, the chip simply repeats the voice being recorded. For Robot Sound Effect mode, the sound is modulated like the voice spoken by a robot.

There are four selection keys to choose one of the 4 operating mode: Key A, Key B, Key C and Key D. These keys are used to select one of the four modes; i.e., talking back, echo song, magic voice changer and robot sound effect. The key is controlled by a push button or a toggle switch. If more than one push button is pushed down, the mode selection is determined by the push button which is released at the last. One LED driver is provided to indicate the state of recording. In order to drive a motor in the Play State, a motor driving pin is also provided.

If push buttons are in use, key A, key B, key C and Key D can choose the operation mode and start recording simultaneously without pushing record button. If toggle switches are adopted, changing mode is allowed if the previous switch is released.

The REC button also can activate recording with the operating mode being chosen as required. The play button is used to replay the recorded voice with different melody in Echo Song mode, or to replay the recorded voice with different tone in Voice Changer mode. 【note】: These two keys are not available unless mask changed.

Each time the record button or the function-selecting button is pushed, the auto-turn-off timer in the circuit will be reset and then starts counting. If record button or function-selecting button has not being pushed for 50 sec. (100 sec. in talking back mode), the recording device will be shutdown automatically.
